Much of the beauty to be found down in here is on a small scale... the forest is very 'closed in' and dark. In many places you can't see very far because of the steep sides of the ravine and the thick forest. The streams down in here run over large slabs of rock and in places have undercut the walls. It's not really possible to walk at stream level in this part (labeled "canyon" on the map). There is a bench about 15-20 feet above the stream on the south bank where it is possible to walk, although its extremely rocky and not an easy stroll.
