Bell Slough WMA nature observation trails - Oct-18-2003

Bell Slough WMA... between Little Rock and Conway, near Mayflower, AR. I think of this area as technically the easternmost tip of the Ouachita's. There are about 2.5 miles of trails here, in two loops. The terrain varies from completely flat, near marshland, to small hills. The trails are in excellent condition, well-marked and all easy, even for the casual walker. The only drawback is that you can hear the noise of Interstate 40 from the trails.
