Just south of where the OT crosses the paved road in the forest. Considering the temperatures > 100°F and the complete absence of rain for the last 20 days, the forest looked quite healthy. A few oaks were browning, grape vines were yellow/brown and there were occasional wilted plants, but overall there didn't seem to be much damage from the extreme heat and drought. There were also NO mosquitoes! Not even one. There IS something positive about the heat!
