Bloodwort or (in the USA) also called bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis). This fascinating little plant has deep red, highly toxic sap. According to Wikipedia, the seeds are dispursed by ants (a process called myrmecochory). The seeds attract ants, who then take them back to their nest where they discard the seeds in their nest debris (where they germinate). Apparently, bloodwort is a member of Papaveraceae, the Poppy family.
