Hummmmm.... interesting... that horizontal large log is about 8 feet above the surface of the river. Some of the debris deposited in the tree limbs is 10 feet above water level... how did it get there? Clearly, the water level rises that high at times. Imagine what it must be like when the river flow is 1300 cubic feet per second (78,000 cubic feet/minute) instead of the usual 20-40 cubic feet/second flow! The highest recorded flow on this part of the river was 1,380 cfs, which is 10,322 gallons/second or 619,344 gallons/minute. Six hundred thousand gallons per minute!!! It must be an incredible sight..
