I'm always amazed when I see this map. I've hiked this section many times and it doesn't feel like you're going in straight lines (obviously following property lines). This is the route of the OT from Hwy 9 to Duffy Road.
This section is where the OT leaves Ouachita National Forest for good, heading eastbound to Pinnacle Mountain State Park.
