147.8 to 150 - Jan 01, 2009

This was a short, afternoon dayhike on New Year's day, 2009. We orginally intended to walk to Big Bear Shelter and back but got a late start and ran out of time. Instead, we explored the ravine/canyon around mile 150. Beautiful sunny day (terrible for photography). Round trip ~ 5.5 miles.

Most of this hike was on old roads. The OT in this area seems to have little single-track trail. We met two ATV's right on the OT.
