There is a huge sawdust pile on the Ouachita Trail at mile 206.5... it is left over from a previous sawmill operation that is long gone. The trail skirts around it on the south and east sides.
This was taken handheld, not paying much attention to holding the camera correctly, etc. It came out quite well anyway! The sawdust pile is huge and seems to prevent anything else from growing here... maybe for 100's of years into the future.
