How to use this site...

What is this site?    Its a personal website maintained entirely for fun and for promoting hiking in general and in the Ouachita Mountains.  See "about" for more info.

There are two main "areas" of this website...   the hike pages and the photo gallery

Hike pages:     Mainly hike descriptions, all of which are linked to photo pages in the gallery.  There are pages for the Ouachita Trail specifically, divided by section.  Anyone can add a comment. 

Photo gallery:  Over 700 photos of trails, hikes, flowers, creatures, etc...  in the Ouachita Mountains.   The photo gallery is organized by type of hike and by on-trail vs. off-trail.   For the Ouachita National Recreation Trail (OT), which is over 200 miles long, the photos are organized by section and OT mile (from western end).

Comments:  If you make a comment, it may take a few hours before it shows up because each comment is screened by a real person prior to posting.
