New - OT day hike starting at Lundsford Corner

By jc - Posted on 20 August 2007

Just added a new hike description for August 16, 2007.   It's a part of the Ouachita Trail but it makes a nice day hiking place that's close to Little Rock.   There is a brief description here, a map and 40+ photos in the photo gallery.  -jc

Has anyone done a GPS track of the trail and is it available to download?
Thanks. PS I hiked the West end in the second half of June and it was really miserable. Overgrown and HOT but very wet also.

I am not aware of a GPS track of the Ouachita Trail for download. It would be a good project. An alternative to a single person mapping it would be a website where hikers could submit tracks of various parts of the OT. This could allow building up a composite of the whole thing.

I've never been on the western end of the OT, but I've heard many comments about it being in worse shape than the eastern half. -jc
