This is representative of the hiking conditions down in here. Hiking on the OT and then down the logging "road" is easy, but once you get down into the steepest parts of the ravine and the road ends, its like this. From this point (close to "X" on the map), it is possible to hike downstream on the west bank. Its not far (maybe 0.2 mile) before reaching an old abandoned road in the creek bottom. After that the going was a bit easier. What goes down must go up... hiking back out is a climb of 600 feet.
