This is the section of the trail that follows the North Fork of the Saline River. The river is not quite visible from the trail, although it can be reached easily by a short bushwhack. The trail is here, like before, an old abandoned road. Very nice! The trail along the river bottom area was flat, but was also often flooded. The flooded areas were all easy to get around. Down along the river, the trail crosses multiple streams. They were all easy to cross on January 28, 2007 but many not be so easy right after heavy rains.
